Good News Gardens
Join the Movement- Plant! Pray! Proclaim!

The Good News Gardens movement originated at Plainsong Farm, in Michigan, and was then modified and embraced by the Episcopal Church's Evangelism and Creation Care Teams. Led by the Creation Care Leadership Circle in the Diocese of Western Mass., we received a small 2020 Evangelism Grant from The Episcopal Church and are now applying for a Province One "Sowing Seeds" grant on behalf of both Episcopal dioceses in MA.

Our two dioceses -- Western Massachusetts and Massachusetts -- are working together to bring the Good News Gardens movement to Massachusetts! This program practices the love of Christ and will equip Episcopal congregations across the Commonwealth to 1) grow and give healthy food; 2) reflect on connections between scripture, faith, food and gardening; and 3) learn about and influence food systems and policies that affect society as a whole.  Grace Church in the Berkshires is already modeling through Gideon’s Garden how growing and giving healthy food can transform lives. We will collaborate with area partners to spread the good news through gardening.  Please join us!
