TEEN STAFF ASSISTANT INFORMATION

The qualifications of a teen staff assistant:
Must be 14-17 years of age (14 yrs will only be used as runners and must attend with a parent when deemed
          necessary by the camp director.)
Must have the recommendation of the Senior Pastor & 1 other non-relative adult
Must be attending with a parent/relative, if younger than 16
Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
Be Christ like example in speech, actions, and attitudes
Able and willing to share your faith with children

The responsibilities of a teen staff assistant:
Be in your assigned area at the designated time and duration
Be examples to the campers in speech, dress, actions, and attitudes
Accompany the campers to activities and be willing to help or participate
Play, eat, laugh and worship with campers.
Assist children in developing a relationship with Christ and the other campers

Teen volunteers will go through the application process and may be limited due to need and resources.  
If problems or concerns arise during the week you may be dismissed and sent home.  

All Volunteers (16+) serving must have a current (within the last 2 years) child abuse prevention training program certificate. This training will be sent to you via email and must be completed by July 15.

Application must be submitted no later than July 11.  All Teen Staff Assistants must also have a parent waiver form signed and returned, as well as 2 completed recommendation forms, one of which must be from their Senior pastor, by July 11. (Note: Pastor recommendation forms and personal reference forms are valid for 2 years if you volunteered at kids camp in the previous year you may not have to re-submit these forms this year.)

Camp Worker Meeting and Training - August 1 at 7pm, on ZOOM.  You will receive a meeting link in your volunteer acceptance letter.

All Volunteers need to be at The Lions Beartooth Mountain Youth Camp (4900 Lake Fork Rd, Red Lodge, MT 59068) by 2pm on Monday August 8th, to assist with campers that will be arriving.

Send completed:  Reference,  Pastor Recommendation form, Signed Parent Waiver Form,  and copy of Insurance card to:

What type of camp position are you applying for? *
Camp workers, especially counselors and activity directors,  must be able to walk on steep terrain and un-level ground, as wells as participate in physical activities with the campers. Can you perform the essential functions of the job for which you have applied with or without reasonable accommodation? *
