Sign up here to attend! The weekend of September 21-22, 2019, we'll gather again to honor the sacred Mississippi Headwaters, which are threatened by the proposed Line 3 pipeline.
This is an opportunity to celebrate our connection to these incredible waters, visit with local communities, and build relationships with one another. On Sunday, we'll come together for an interfaith prayer circle at Lake Itasca with indigenous partners and leaders from all major faiths. This is a family friendly event.
Group van transportation will be organized from the Twin Cities and Duluth if there's enough interest. Gas cards will be available for Indigenous attendees.
There are beds available for elders and those who need to sleep inside. Please indicate this need on your registration form and contact
alina@mnipl.org if you need more information.
There is no cost of attendance for this event. This whole affair is funded just through donations, so if you can swing it we are requesting a $30 - 50 per person donation to cover the cost of meals, your stay at the group camp, and to help cover costs for those whom a cost of attendance is prohibitive. Payments can be made online at
mnipl.org/donate/ or in-person the weekend of the trip.
