The Chapel Hill Alt. Protein Club Committee Opportunities for 2023-2024 are as follows:
1) Outreach Committee: - With your committee and Director of Event Planning, you will help organize events such as general body meetings and speaker events.Â
2) Marketing Committee - Manage social media, graphics, and emails, and work with Outreach to advertise meetings and events.Â
3) Course Development Committee - With your committee and two Co-Directors of Course Development, you will work to get alternative protein integrated into curriculum throughout various departments at UNC. This includes starting alternative protein courses and integrating alternative protein into individual class sessions in relevant courses. We also are working to get courses developed at NC State and Duke University. You will be responsible for the following tasks:
a. Explore relevant courses that could benefit from a class session or guest speaker on alternative protein and develop class sessionsÂ
b. Contact professors
c. Develop class sessions on alt. protein in collaboration with interested professors and The Good Food Institute and/or organize guest speakers to come into classes
4) Do you have an idea for an alt. protein related initiative or project that we are not currently implementing and you would like to lead? Let us know and we can further explore your idea. Â
