In American Liberty Ballet's twisted tale of the Nutcracker, the young Clara and her family are off to see their Grandparents and Uncle Drosselmeyer in New York Suite-y. Clara's Uncle Drosselmeyer has sent her a mysterious Nutcracker Doll, and before they know it, Clara and her brother Fritz find themselves amidst a war between giant rats and plane stewardesses! Luckily, the Nutcracker Prince comes to life and joins in the battle! But alas! Fritz gets kidnapped by the evil Rat Queen! Clara and her Nutcracker Prince must search the Sweets District to find him. Meanwhile, Fritz is distracted by the fun of the Rat Queens rotten trouble making, and it takes the spirit of holiday giving to bring everybody back together. Clara and Fritz wake up back on the plane, and land in New York Suite-y once again. But was it a dream? Or the magic of the Nutcracker? We may never know!

Where: Abrons Arts Center NY NY

Rehearsals: For children last 15 min of each class will be dedicated to performance material; adults should attend performance workshop Wednesday 730-830 in NYC. For UC adults, rehearsals will be held at the end of classes!

Roles: Casting TBD based on registration

Cost: $75 (This fee puts a tiny dent in the cost of the theater, rehearsal costs, costume lights, professional dancer stipends, and many more odds and ends. Productions in NYC are unbelievably expensive, and your support and participation are greatly appreciated.) Fee due by November 15th.
