We are SO excited that your student is registered for Young Life's Wilderness and Beyond Malibu Backpacking Trip for the summer of 2024! It is truly a once in a lifetime experience for them and their leaders.
We understand the cost of this trip is incredibly high and are committed to doing all that we can to make it financially possible for you and for your student to participate if they are seriously interested.
Our team is in the process of creating 2-3 service work day fundraising opportunities for seniors for the upcoming spring (April - June). Service days might include helping mulch, rake leaves, plant flowers, and other jobs like these for local community members. Leaders, staff, and students would spend weekend afternoons & mornings (that they are available) working toward their balance.

This fundraising opportunity will be exclusively for seniors participating in Wilderness or Beyond Malibu and therefore students will have the opportunity to raise a decent amount of money towards their camp balance. Coffee (
click here) and mulch sales (coming soon!) are also great opportunities to raise additional funds.

As a reminder, we do not have the total cost calculated yet. These are based on current quotes. There is a chance it will be lower than that as we finalize travel plans.
