Covid Surveillance Testing is coming to LPS. We do not have all of the answers (or questions) at this time. What we do know is we will need a dedicated group of volunteers to make this happen. To start, LPS anticipates 2,100 test kits will need to be assembled, organized, packaged, picked up, and delivered to schools on a weekly basis. We will need a dedicated pool of 50 volunteers who can commit 4 to 6 hours (during the school day) for the 8 week testing period (Jan-March 2021). There will also be the need for room managers to oversee the kit assembly each week.

Volunteer workload and the option to work on alternating weeks will depend on the final size of the volunteer pool. Volunteers will receive training, PPE, and work out of a designated LPS space. This volunteer recruitment effort is being organized by the Lexington PTA/PTO Presidents' Council (PPC) and the Parent volunteer project managers.
