EFN Supporting the Sector Coordinator Application
Thanks for applying for EFN's Supporting the Sector Coordinator role. You can see more about it on our website at.

Please answer the following questions to apply, and then email your CV to emma@greenfunders.org. You should aim to write no more than around 2-3 paragraphs for each question.

We will be conducting a blind process to shortlist candidates for interviews, which has worked well for us in the past and helps to reduce bias. Your answers will be anonymised and we will review the answers to each question in turn, changing the order of the answers for each question. Those with the highest scores across their answers will be invited to interview. We will use the CVs to understand more about your background before you are interviewed.

Deadline: 11:59pm GMT Sunday 6 February 2022. If you have any questions, please contact emma@greenfunders.org but please note she will not be able to respond to enquiries from 21 December through 4 January.

We will aim to hold first round interviews (virtually) during the week commencing 28 February 2022.

How did you hear about this job opening?
Name
Imagine you are applying for a grant to support the work described in this job description. The grant application asks for a short summary describing its purpose and potential impact. What would you write?
Given the breadth of the environment sector and the diversity of its needs, what sources of information would you use and what considerations would you take into account to determine where to direct resources for strengthening the sector?
Sector leaders have told us that they think that environmental organisations and initiatives need to collaborate more to be more effective. You are tasked with developing EFN’s strategy for supporting more collaboration in the UK environment sector. What first steps do you take in developing the strategy?
Given our networks of both grantmakers and grantseekers, EFN is ideally-placed to support better information-sharing and partnership-building between these groups, for example through developing an online database of environmental organisations. What information about each organisation would you include at the design stage and where could you get the data from?
