Earn CE Credit: We'll be covering the following classes throughout the day and over lunch
  • Evictions (1 Hr Core CE Credit) – We will talk about possible grounds for eviction under Utah law, eviction notices, serving notices, etc. The focus here is to walk through the process to build a strong eviction case.
  • Security Deposits (1 Hr Core CE Credit) –We talk about the laws and best practices for handling security deposits. We focus on what amounts you can charge to the tenant, which amounts you cannot charge at all, and how to handle reasonable wear and tear.
  • New Laws for Property Managers (1 Hr Core CE Credit) – We’ll cover all of the recent law changes that impact property managers.
  • Fair Housing Act (1 Hr Core CE Credit) – This is a good training to go through fair housing requirements, risks and pitfalls. We talk about handling reasonable accommodation requests and other fair housing issues.
  • Fit Premises Act (1 Hr Core CE Credit) – This is great to talk about repairs and habitability issues that come up, especially if a tenant gives a “Notice of Deficient Conditions”.
  • Legal Hot Topics for Property Managers (this class will not take place in Ogden due to time constraints with the facility)  – Hodge podge of landlord tenant legal issues (i.e. how to handle tenants that abandon the property, tenants that pass away, tips for preparing for court to win your case, etc.).
