Cost is $360.00 (for six,1-hour classes) Must pay balance in full.

This is a beginner class for students with little or no experience with horses! Students will learn basic equestrian vaulting skills and basic horsemanship skills. Students will build coordination and strength and will be taught the proper techniques for the compulsory routines on horse and barrel. A email will go out on the Monday before each class with photo and videos to share with your vaulter. There will be homework, such as exercises or videos to review.
Each class will build on the prior class, and at the last the athletes will put on a show and show what they learned! At the end of the series, vaulters will be invited to join the team and placed in classes based on age and skill level. *Bring chairs and your camera!
Here is the schedule:
April 6, 2024 - Horse care, vaulting tack, proper mounting technique, and basic seat.
April 13, 2024 - Flag and forward swings; begin creating a freestyle/pick out music for freestyle.
April 20, 2024 - Tacking up a horse; stand and mill; continue building freestyles.
May 4, 2024 - How to lead a horse safely; Forward swings; continue with freestyles.
May 18, 2024 - Grooming, feeding, and care of horses; Proper dismounting and doing whole routines.
May 25, 2024 - Performance recital! All parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings are welome to watch their vaulter perform his or her new skills! *Bring chairs and your cameras!
