Arizona Abroad Locations: Faculty Curriculum Integration Grant Application
As University of Arizona faculty, you play a key role in the success of our students.  We rely on faculty to contribute to the promotion of study abroad programs and entice students to view this opportunity as a way to invest more in their academic, personal, and professional growth. Our Arizona Abroad sites are designed to immerse students in local cultures by integrating curriculum from the University of Arizona with our partner institutions, helping students remain on track towards their intended graduation dates and ensuring they maximize their opportunities to develop global skills and mindsets.

In alignment with the University of Arizona 2018 Strategic Plan Initiative 4.3A1 (The UA will establish a global network of dedicated UA Study Abroad sites around the world, where students earn UA credits as part of integrated curricular paths, pay UA tuition, and receive UA financial aid, greatly increasing the affordability and attractiveness of studying abroad), the AZ Abroad Curriculum Integration grants are designed to support the integration of study abroad opportunities into student degree plans with the goal of making study abroad more accessible to students. These grants will support efforts that will:

Help make study abroad more accessible to students by identifying programs and articulating curriculum at
AZ Abroad Locations that are relevant to students’ degree completion requirements, such as major/minor
Engage faculty, administrators, and/or advisors to play a role in study abroad programming at AZ Abroad
        Locations
Empower students to incorporate study abroad into their overall academic planning
Include the creation of a “global track” in the major or degree relevant customized programming that utilizes
the infrastructure of the partner institution to ensure that the experience is affordable for students

Grants will cover the cost of travel to an AZ Abroad site (flights and housing) for up to 5 days. Awards will be given out based on volume of interest and availability of funds. Visits will be coordinated by UA Global.
