Sept 24, 2019 - Standing up for Refuge in 5780
As you prepare for the High Holidays, please join HIAS Action DC for a reflective gathering to recognize the important work the Greater Washington, DC Jewish Community has done to support refugees and asylum seekers. We also know that the past year has been devastating for immigrant and refugee communities and for those of us who support them. At this High Holiday-inspired gathering, we will recommit ourselves to supporting and protecting refugees and asylum seekers in the year to come. We will also shine a spotlight on the ways the United States government failed to protect these vulnerable communities in the year that has just passed.
Date: Tuesday, September 24th, 6:30 pm - 7:30pm
Location: Dupont Circle Fountain | Washington, DC
