Do you have a passion for inspiring children to be environmental stewards through hands-on interaction with plants and nature? Docents lead guided interpretive programs for school and youth groups, assist in the development of educational materials, and with special event workshops.

Being a Matthaei-Nichols docent is an amazing volunteer experience but does require a 2-year minimum commitment and availability during weekday mornings, some evenings and weekends potentially, to lead the programs. In exchange for your time, we provide ample training, continuing education programs, and other unique opportunities.

2) A required info session will be scheduled in mid-January 2022, TBD.
3) A required training program will begin in February 2022 and run for a few weeks into spring 2022.
