At the bottom of page 4, in the white box, it says that "[the] present time is the time of the Spirit and of witness, but also a time still marked by distress...It is a time of waiting and watching." It then references the "CCC, 672." What is the "CCC"? Please choose the answer that best aligns with your thinking. *

"CCC" refers to an abbreviation for something. I'm not sure what, though. I don't even want to know what it means, really!

"CCC" refers to a book containing the teachings of the Catholic Church. It stands for "Catechism of the Catholic Church." I am glad to know that if I ever have a question about what the Church teaches, that I can look it up in this book!

At the bottom of page 4, which you've already read, says that "Jesus will not take away this time of distress, but he promises to be with his followers and give them words of wisdom their enemies cannot deny." So yes sometimes we go through hard times. There is suffering on earth that we must endure. One of the main reasons we have suffering on earth is because of what? One of the reasons we have suffering on earth is because God gave us free will. So we can definitely make choices in our lives that cause suffering for others. So if I choose to steal from somebody, that person will suffer a loss of something that was dear to him or her. So sometimes our suffering is caused by the bad choices of others. However we shouldn't forget that we ALL make bad choices sometimes.

This is a trick question because there really is no suffering at all on this earth. Everything is perfect.
