About Wanda Fool: Otherwise known as Julia Swanson, she has been clowning from her whole life. She's worked with Ringling Bros Circus and currently at Minneapolis night life adult show Queer Circus. Julia is excited to talk about a variety of circus and clown topics with you!

Stage makeup (Fri, 9/30, 6-6:45pm): Learn how to apply durable and realistic stage makeup. Create a look for upcoming shows! Remember to bring your own makeup to play with!

Stage presence (Fri, 9/30, 7-7:45pm): Learn about that little extra "something" that makes your performance pop! Plus how to be present and connect with your audience.

Building an act from your skills (Fri, 9/30, 8-8:45pm): Can you do some cool tricks and skills but aren't sure how to turn them into an act? Then this workshop is for you! We're going to play with it and try new things, mainly focusing on how to build your skill in front of an audience.

Unconventional characters (Sat, 10/1, 12-12:45 pm): How to build a character that stands out onstage, wherever that stage may be.

Comic movement (Sat, 10/1, 1-1:45 pm): Explore physical comedy such as using your whole bodies to stop, look, react, and find how your character moves.

Clown Makeup Lab (Sat, 10/1, 5:30-6:15 pm): Learn how to apply greasepaint and professional theater makeup. We'll practice by doing clown style makeup, but the concepts apply broadly too! Make sure to bring your own makeup to play with. Stay afterward to watch how Wanda applies her makeup for her show at 7pm!

Clowning with an instrument (Sun, 10/2, 11-11:45am): Do you have an instrument you want to use in your routine? It doesn't matter if you can play it or not, we'll talk about how to make it funny and use it with a story! Feel free to bring your instrument with you.

Pro tip! - Be sure to stay for Wanda Fool's performance at MCS on Saturday 10/1 at 7pm!

The Clown with a Song in her Heart (or Two). She will sing and play for you with a bit of silliness in between, and a lot of feeling! Come enjoy music, laughter, and a pretty rockin' kazoo solo. Come at 7pm to revel in the ridiculous and maybe sing along!
