Brian's Bio:
I am a father of 4, two girls and two boys. I have worked for King County Sheriff's Office for 25 years. 15 of those years I was a Detective. My specialty was Crimes against Children, specifically focusing on Child Exploitation and Child Prostitution. During my tenure as a Detective, I was assigned to the FBI as an investigator. I focused all of my investigations into men luring and forcing young female children into prostitution. I was labeled an expert in my field both by the State of Washington and the US Justice Department. I have testified in front of the US Congress as well as the State of Washington Legislature. I have traveled the country as an instructor, teaching civilian groups as well as other Law Enforcement officers about Child Prostitution. My efforts were recognized with awards from Children of the Night, and other groups around the country. I was featured in two documentaries that were released all over the world, titles are Rape for Profit and The Long Night. Both films focused on my efforts as an investigator and as a founding member of The Genesis Project, which was a drop in center for young girls trapped in prostitution. I have also been the subject of several articles in print and television. Notable articles were Parent Magazine which featured my story as an investigator and the ills of Domestic exploitation of young girls into sex trafficking. My efforts have changed sentencing guidelines in the state of Washington. I was the first investigator to get a lengthy sentence for a Pimp, which was 37 years in prison for forcing 3 teenagers into prostitution. Which at the time was the longest sentence in state history. I followed this up with 50 year sentence for a trafficker. I am currently back in uniformed patrol, working in SeaTac. I still do various speaking engagements on child safety, to include internet and social media safety.
