Registration: Jumpstart Research@UW
The University of Washington Office of Research and the Libraries would like to welcome new faculty and introduce them to the UW research ecosystem. Jumpstart Research@UW is a half-day workshop scheduled for the afternoon of September 12, 2022 (1-5pm, UW HUB 250), aimed at introducing you to the people and programs that support research at UW, and providing you an opportunity to meet other new researchers. We welcome faculty who joined UW since summer 2021, including both researchers who are starting their academic career this year and seasoned researchers transferring from other institutions.

Responses received by September 5 will influence the choice of panels for the September 12 workshop. All responses will be considered in planning future seminars and discussions to support new researchers.

Cross-cutting Panel Discussions

We are planning to have a few panel discussions on issues that are relevant to many different faculty. Please pick the three that are of most interest to you, and feel free to suggest a different idea.

Research Methodologies
We are planning to have breakout sessions for discussion of issues that relate to specific concerns of researchers whose work builds on particular methodologies. Please indicate any that are of interest to you. This first Jumpstart workshop will feature panels on the most popular topics, but we hope to offer panel sessions on other topics later in the year if there is sufficient interest.
If there are accessibility considerations that are important to you, please let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate.
