Design a Constellation: Create a tactile starscape where you can make your own constellation story among the stars!
Touch Experiences
Educators will be stationed around the Museum to provide verbal description and touch exploration of different spaces and artifacts, including:
- A helicopter on the flight deck
- Artifacts at a station on the hangar deck
- The anchor chain room in the fo’c’sle
A full schedule of when each station will be open will be sent to registrants ahead of time.
Schedule of stage performances and presentations
Audio description will be available for all stage presentations via listening devices and headsets provided by the Museum. Devices are provided free of charge, but we ask that guests leave an ID while borrowing the devices. Presentations are no longer than 30 minutes.

Performance of Betty Skelton: For All Womankind
In 1959, champion aviator Betty Skelton became the first woman to undergo the physical and psychological tests of NASA’s Mercury 7 astronauts, opening the door to future opportunities for women. In this first-person, live performance, learn about Skelton’s ground-breaking experience and discover her long-lasting impact on the inclusion of women in the American space program.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show: Storytime Presentation
Rockefeller Production's The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show has been dazzling audiences around the globe for nearly a decade, faithfully bringing to the stage Eric Carle's timeless classics. In the story of the Hungry Caterpillar, a very hungry newborn caterpillar eats his way through the week through fruits and delicious treats until he gets a stomachache. He eats a green leaf to soothe his stomach and spins a chrysalis for himself. After two weeks, he emerges from his cocoon as a beautiful butterfly.

Ballet Hispánico School of Performance
Watch a live dance performance featuring excerpts of the Ballet Hispánico repertoire. Music, cultural connections, choreography insights and history come together to deepen the audience’s experience of dance. Recommended for ages 6 +.
