EnerGIS 2024 Geospatial Scholarship

Open to full or part-time graduate and undergraduate students from or attending an institution in the Appalachian Region, and are lawful residents or citizens of the United States.  Students must have completed their freshman year and declared a geospatial related major.

Eligible topics may be derived from: coursework, a class project, an internship, or a capstone project.

All applicants are required to submit an abstract.  Abstracts must include: statement of the problem, objectives, a brief overview of materials and methods, a summary of the results, and how the results were applied or the "take home" message.

I understand the following rules regarding the EnerGIS Scholarship program: 

One $3000 scholarship may be awarded to the selected candidate. 

This is a multi-year scholarship and a second $3000 scholarship installment will be awarded if the student is:

1. Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.

2. Continues their studies within a geospatial related field.

3. Agrees to present their geospatial related work to the EnerGIS Conference. 

4. Maintains a minimum GPA of 3.0

This scholarship is open to students within the Appalachian region or attending a university within that region.  Decisions of the scholarship review committee are final.

I understand the scholarship winner must present their project at the conference.  The scholarship winner shall receive complimentary admission to the conference. All travel and lodging costs shall be paid for by the scholarship winner. *
