Work on the Integrated Community Sustainability Plan started in early 2019 when an initial planning session was held. Across energy, water, mobility, resilient communities, ecosystems, and material waste, committees made up of over 50 residents, subject matter experts, and community leaders have been considering long term challenges related to their topic, researching best practices from around the country and world, and building on work from the Thrive Regional Partnership and the Chamber of Commerce’s Velocity 2040 Goals.
- We seek your feedback and input on the recommendations, values, and potential strategies put forth by these committees. The goal of this plan is to engage Chattanooga-residents in their vision for a more Sustainable Chattanooga. Your feedback is a crucial step in this process.
- Below, are seven (7) sections that outline each Committee's high-level recommendation, their values, and potential strategies followed by an opportunity to provide information about your likes, questions, ideas, and proposed changes.
- Over the next several weeks, we will be compiling this feedback and will provide a comprehensive list, by committee, of all likes, questions, ideas, and proposed changes. This information will be shared with the committees and the public. However, we will protect your anonymity throughout this process.
