DGA offers $4,500 in stipends directly to veterans who have been hired by DGA Mentors as part of a USDA-NIFA AgVets grant. Stipends are intended to offset initial costs of entering an Apprenticeship and to supplement wages as they progress through the program.

Please indicate which stipend you are requesting. Note that you will need to submit new request for each stipend and that your personal program record (PPR) on the DGA website must be up-to-date and account for completed training hours, related instruction, and farm visits. Check with your Education Coordinator if you have questions/ concerns about your PPR.

First-Year Stipend $1500 (available when hired for an Apprenticeship with a DGA Mentor)

Second-Year Stipend $1500 (available 12 months after start date of Apprenticeship)

Graduate Stipend $1500 (available upon completion of Apprenticeship)

Veterans who receive a stipend must submit a W-9 and will receive a 1099 for tax purposes.
