Hello! My name is Stephanie Rice, and I write under the pen name Stephanie Thomas. I am an English teacher and published author by trade, and I currently homeschool my amazing six year old. I am offering fiction writing critiques for middle school and high school students. If your student is homeschooled, please use your best judgment with where their writing skills currently are.

My critique pricing run on a per-critique basis. Students can submit five to seven pages of their fiction writing when they are ready -- there are no deadlines.

My critiques will focus on the writing content, which means that while I will correct grammar and sentence structure here and there, I am more focusing on your student's story crafting. Students are welcome to submit five to seven double-spaced pages to critique for each pass. I will comment in document, but also provide a two paragraph critique for each pass. We will work through Google Docs, where I can comment in the document and see any changes the student makes. STUDENTS MUST USE A GMAIL ACCOUNT. Critiques will be returned within 72 hours of their submission.

Fees are as follows:

1 Critique Sample - $20
3 Critique Passes - $40
5 Critique Passes - $60
8 Critique Passes - $90

I also offer a'la carte services on a first-come-first serve basis. They include the following:

30 minutes One-on-One Video Conference: $30
Editing up to 20 pages: $2/per page

Payment and Refund

I will bill through PayPal only as "Goods and Services." You can receive a full refund if you have not used any of your package. Once you begin to use your package, you can be refunded $10 per unused critique within the first thirty days of purchase. After thirty days, you can be refunded $5 per unused critique.

In the case that I, the instructor, cannot meet a turnaround time, you will receive a full refund for the package.
