Applications will open on the 1st of April 2021 and will close on the 20th of September 2021.

The competition will be split into two categories, ideation and business ready to scale. You must specify which category you will be taking part in as there are different requirements.
Established Businesses are businesses with already one existing client, and are ready to scale.
Ideation businesses are yet to have customers and are up to a proof of concept for the idea.

1. Submit the application form by the 20th of September

2. Create a pitch your company / idea. This needs to include the following topics :
2.1 Company Profile
2.1 Include name of the company, vision and team members
2.2 Problem Statement
2.2 Identify the pain points you are solving.
2.3 Target Market
2.3 Identify who experiences these pain points by segmenting your customers.
2.4 Solution Statement /Product
2.4.1 How are you making the customer’s pain their gains?
2.4.2 Outline each customer’s unique value proposition
2.5 Revenue Model
2.5 Identify how you will make money by presenting your revenue and cost structure
2.6 Competition
2.6.1 Identify your competition and how you aim to differentiate yourself from them.

3. Available to pitch on the 11th September, 25th September and 5th of October 2021

Preliminary rounds will be taking place on the 11th and 25th of September. More details will be communicated to you in due course.

4. Be a registered UCT Student in 2021 or first and second year alumni of UCT.

5. Ruling by the Judges is Final
