Auditions will be held on April 30th from 3:30pm-6pm at Paso Robles High School Dance Room, room 510 (front of campus).  If you need to leave a little early for another class, please let me know prior to starting auditions so we can arrange for you to go at the beginning of solos.

Please bring shoes for hip hop and contemporary as well as Jazz.  You will need water, snack, appropriate attire (ie, no mid drifts, no super short spandex, hair away from face, jewelry off)  Bring something to play your music on.

Please use the video to learn the jazz portion of the audition.  You will have a couple weeks to get it clean and please modify to fit your ability, please don't injure yourself practicing a move you have not yet learned, just replace it with something you can do :) There are a couple of options in the instructions.  The choreography is at the advanced level, do the best you are able to do.  Please remember to warm up and stretch before learning the combination.

When you get to auditions, you will get a number and safety pins to identify you on the dance floor.  There will be a group warm-up, basic across-the-floor technique, perform jazz combo, learn and perform a short hip hop combo, learn and perform a short contemporary combo and then start solos.

Solos: should be no longer than 30 seconds.  Show the panel the "best you" and not what you think we want to see.  Which genre do you like the best, what move makes you look like a strong dancer.  Don't forget to perform, and please keep music appropriate.
