Parent Survey: At Home Learning Present and Future
Dear Parents/Guardians:

We want to thank you for your support during this unprecedented mandatory alternative instruction period. While we enjoy the start of our summer break, we are also utilizing this time off to plan for the future. We all know next school year will look different, but we are unsure in what way. With recommendations and guidelines changing almost daily, planning for the 2020-2021 school year is a bit of a challenge. Nevertheless, we will meet that challenge, just like we did in this last quarter, and are beginning to plan for the three scenarios below:

Scenarios:

1. Schools are open with restrictions per public health guidelines such as social distancing, wearing masks, etc.
2. Schools are open with restrictions per public health guidelines; however, parents and students may have the option of remote learning, especially for students considered to be medically fragile.
3. Schools open a fully remote learning environments, as is the case now. (This scenario may not be in effect when the 2020-2021 school year begins. However, if there is a COVID-19 reemergence, this scenario would be likely.)

To assist us in the planning process, we believe it is essential to understand how this remote, at-home learning has affected each of our students and families. Therefore, we are asking you to complete this survey, ONE for EACH child. One child may have had a different experience with at-home learning than another child in your home. Providing a survey for each of them will allow us to get the most accurate information on everyone's learning experience. We would appreciate you completing this survey by Sunday, June 7, 2020.

Thank you for your continued support as we all work to adapt to a "new normal" in schools, and thank you for your feedback. We miss our students, and hope that we see them again in August. Have a wonderful summer!

Sincerely,
Mr. Bill Kermavner, Superintendent
Dr. Jennifer Sabol, Pupil Services Director
Dr. Markiel Perkins, CHS Principal
Mr. Andy Cardinal, CMS Principal
Mrs. Michelle Nizen, JES Principal
