Career Initiative for Women in Physics Lunch Event - 4/28/22
Please join us for the second event of the Women in Physics (WIP) on Thursday, April 28th from 12- 1 pm in the 705 room on the 7th floor of Pupin for an informal discussion about navigating career paths in academia with Columbia Physics faculties professor Ana Asenjo Garcia, Raquel Queiroz, and Georgia Karagiorgi. This event will be held in person and lunch will be provided.
Career Initiative for Women in Physics:
We are launching this student- and postdoc-run initiative focused on career development for women in physics to:
* Foster a supportive community within the Columbia Physics Department
* Create opportunities for students and postdocs to interact with successful female physicist role models
* Learn about different career trajectories possible with an advanced degree in physics
* Learn tools & strategies for successful career growth
