Initial Questionnaire for Research Project with Alef Trust & Liverpool John Moores University.

Thank you for your interest in taking part in this research project:

How do visual artists use lucid dreams as part of their creative process?

The research project aims to explore the relationship between lucid dreams and creativity, as experienced by visual artists who maintain an ongoing creative practice, and who have lucid dreams regularly. The research aims to look into the use of lucid dreaming as a source of inspiration for artists and creative practitioners, explore how these types of dreams are brought together with creative processes, and to explore examples of artworks that have been made using this technique. The research project will also fulfil a component of an MSc programme that the researcher is currently undertaking.

As a reminder, your participation is completely voluntary, what you share will be made confidential, and any personal details will be anonymised. You retain the right to withdraw from the research process entirely at any stage of the process if you do not wish to participate.

Your answers to these questions in this voluntary questionnaire, and the data generated by them may be analysed as part of the research process. By completing and returning this questionnaire, you consent for your answers to be used in this way.

Alongside this questionnaire, you may also be invited to take part in an online interview lasting approximately 45 minutes at a suitable date/time for you.

If you have any further questions or would like more information then please contact the researcher via email: danielcbowler@gmail.com
