At Gage Park Latinx Council we have built a network of first generation college students from the SouthWest side of Chicago to come together and share our unique experiences navigating higher education. This space allows for us to learn from one another and build connections in the community for success. While peer support is part of the groups structure we also invite guest speakers and community mentors to help guide members in their academic and personal journeys.

This intentional space is created to aid in the success of Students and to combat the false narratives of who youth from our communities are. We actively challenge imposter syndrome ( the feeling of not belonging in a space) & the ideology that abandoning our communities is the only path to success.
