San Benito C.I.S.D. adheres to the Texas Education Agency guidelines to provide transportation to eligible students that live two miles or more from their assigned school or reside in an adopted hazardous route, as measured by the shortest route that may be traveled on public roads from the student's home to school. 

San Benito C.I.S.D. se adhiere a las pautas de la Agencia de Educación de Texas para proporcionar transporte a los estudiantes elegibles que viven a dos millas o más de su escuela asignada o residen en una ruta peligrosa adoptada, según lo medido por la ruta más corta que se puede viajar en las vías públicas desde la del hogar del estudiante a la escuela.

SAN BENITO C.I.S.D. TRANSPORTATION GUIDELINES
All students are expected to follow the bus safety rules. 

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) and San Benito C.I.S.D. provide transportation to eligible students that live more than two miles from their assigned school or reside in an adopted hazardous route, as measured by the shortest route, that may be traveled on public roads from the student's home to school. Eligible students may receive transportation from the designated eligible pick-up point associated with their registered home address within their attendance boundary. Designated Bus stops are created where the public access road intersects with private roads, unpaved roads, non-county adopted roads, and private properties; Board Policy CNA (Legal). San Benito C.I.S.D. transportation will not travel on private roads, unpaved roads, private properties, and or other roads, as the safety of all our student bus riders is our 1st priority.

Se espera que todos los estudiantes sigan las reglas de seguridad del autobús.

La Agencia de Educación de Texas (TEA) y San Benito C.I.S.D. proporcionar transporte a los estudiantes elegibles que vivan a más de dos millas de su escuela asignada o residan en una ruta peligrosa adoptada, según lo medido por la ruta más corta, que se puede viajar en vías públicas desde el hogar del estudiante hasta la escuela. Los estudiantes elegibles pueden recibir transporte desde el punto de recogida elegible designado asociado con su domicilio registrado dentro de su límite de asistencia. Las paradas de autobús designadas se crean donde el camino de acceso público se cruza con caminos privados, caminos sin pavimentar, caminos adoptados fuera del condado y propiedades privadas; Política de la Junta CNA (Legal). San Benito C.I.S.D. el transporte no viajará en caminos privados, caminos sin pavimentar, propiedades privadas u otros caminos, ya que la seguridad de todos nuestros estudiantes que viajan en autobús es nuestra primera prioridad.

SCHOOL BUS RULES 
▪ Students will need to have their Smart Tag ID Bus card to ride their designated bus to and from school. 
▪ Lost ID Bus cards will have a $5 replacement fee. 
▪ Students will need to listen and follow bus driver’s instructions. 
▪ Students will sit properly facing frontwards. 
▪ Students will keep belongings to themselves. 
▪ Students will use courteous language. 
▪ Students will have assigned seats. 
▪ No eating or drinking allowed. 
▪ View Student Code of Conduct Handbook o The school bus is considered an extended part of the school day.

▪ Los estudiantes deberán tener su tarjeta de identificación de autobús Smart Tag para viajar en el autobús designado hacia y desde la escuela.
▪ Las tarjetas ID Bus perdidas tendrán un cargo de reemplazo de $5.
▪ Los estudiantes deberán escuchar y seguir las instrucciones del conductor del autobús.
▪ Los estudiantes se sentarán correctamente mirando hacia el frente.
▪ Los estudiantes se quedarán con sus pertenencias.
▪ Los estudiantes utilizarán un lenguaje cortés.
▪ Los estudiantes tendrán asientos asignados.
▪ No se permite comer ni beber.
▪ Ver el Manual del Código de Conducta del Estudiante o El autobús escolar se considera una parte extendida del día escolar.

Bus Driver Rules & Expectations
• The bus driver will discuss the safety rules and any infractions with the student. 
• The bus driver will report the infraction to their supervisor and the report be sent to the campus administration team using a referral system. 
• The campus administrator makes the decision of the disciplinary action that will be taken in accordance with the district's Student Code of Conduct handbook. 
• Band instruments, backpacks, class projects, etc. on the bus can be a concern as large items exhibit the safe evacuation of students in an emergency. The guideline is to transport the item if the student carries it with them to their seat. o Students must place these items on their laps or in front of them on the bus floor. Carry-on items cannot be allowed to block the aisles, service stairs, and or emergency door/exits. If an object is too large, the parent will be responsible for transporting the object. 
• Any type of object carried onto the bus that the driver determines may be dangerous or cause student disruption may be refused. Drivers will not be responsible for student's personal belongings left on the bus. 
• There should be no glass objects brought on the bus.

• El conductor del autobús discutirá las reglas de seguridad y cualquier infracción con el estudiante.
• El conductor del autobús informará la infracción a su supervisor y el informe se enviará al equipo de administración del campus utilizando un sistema de referencia.
• El administrador del plantel toma la decisión de la acción disciplinaria que se tomará de acuerdo con el manual del Código de Conducta Estudiantil del distrito.
• Los instrumentos de banda, mochilas, proyectos de clase, etc. en el autobús pueden ser una preocupación ya que los artículos grandes muestran la evacuación segura de los estudiantes en caso de emergencia. La pauta es transportar el artículo si el estudiante lo lleva consigo a su asiento. o Los estudiantes deben colocar estos artículos en su regazo o frente a ellos en el piso del autobús. No se puede permitir que los artículos de mano bloqueen los pasillos, las escaleras de servicio y las puertas/salidas de emergencia. Si un objeto es demasiado grande, el padre será responsable de transportar el objeto.
• Cualquier tipo de objeto llevado en el autobús que el conductor determine que puede ser peligroso o causar molestias a los estudiantes puede ser rechazado. Los conductores no serán responsables por las pertenencias personales de los estudiantes dejadas en el autobús. 
• No se deben traer objetos de vidrio en el autobús.
