The Certified Recovery Status (CRS) Credential is certified by the Pennsylvania Certification Board (PCB). The Council is a PCB-approved provider of education, offering the 54 hours of education required to apply for the CRS credential.
Please note that The Council is NOT the certifying board, but will provide participants with certificates for hours of training completed that the participant then submits with their credentialing application to the PCB.
Certification requires candidates to currently have a minimum of 18 months continuous lived recovery experience, and to provide a copy of a High School Diploma, GED, or college transcripts, complete an application, sign an ethics agreement, and pass a multiple choice exam.
(A $125 credential administration fee is payable to PCB upon making application and is NOT included in the fee for training)
