PHILADELPHIA, PA - Casting specialty character Actors as seasonal workers this winter to enliven LumiNature at Philadelphia Zoo.
Show dates are from mid-November to beginning of January, during the approximate hours 5pm-9:45pm. Acts run as staged characters and stunt talent stationed outdoors around the gardens, for approximately 3-5 sets (with breaks) as guests of all-ages stroll through the park. Pay ranges depending on act performed starting at $300/night.
Currently Casting Actors for the following rolls:
-Lion
-Peacock
-Rhino
-Octopus
- Kangaroo
-Dancing Chameleon (looking for liquid, popping dance backgrounds but also open to interpretation)
Open to casting: 18+ years old, all genders, sizing range of costuming TBD [but note that most of our specialty costuming is built for 5'8" or taller]. Must be comfortable performing with props for hours and navigating the grounds independently.
Preference to local performers, no travel stipends available
Please share some idea of your availability, as there are different numbers of performers hired each day and this is a contractor position there is no expectation of being available or booked every day.
