UBC PATHS (Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s Targeted Hope and Support) is a network of students dedicated to supporting the Parkinson’s and Alzheimer's community. As an established Alma Mater Society club operating out of the University of British Columbia Vancouver campus, we are a nonprofit organization built on the three main pillars of philanthropy, outreach, and education.
We aim to raise funds and provide personal support for those affected by neurodegenerative diseases through our fundraising initiatives and Community Outreach Program at Point Grey Private Hospital and Revera Care Homes. Furthermore, we also focus on increasing awareness through our educational initiatives, such as our Speaker Series, annual PATHS to a Cure Neuroscience Research Conference, and Case Competition. Through these initiatives, we provide students with a platform to present their research, connect with academic professionals, and continue to develop their knowledge about the community we aim to support.
Our purpose is emphasized in our mission statement: Engage. Enrich. Explore.
- Engage UBC students in philanthropic initiatives
-Enrich the lives of people affected by Parkinson's and Alzheimer's Disease
- Explore the paths of research towards a cure
