Bliss-Moreau Laboratory Internship Application - Summer 2024
Thank you for your interest in our group. We consider student applications on a rolling basis.  We are currently recruiting for positions that will begin over the summer of 2024 and then continue into the following academic year.  For more information about our lab see: blissmoreaulab.ucdavis.edu

During the summer, students will be paid as undergraduate research assistants.  During the academic year, there is an option for pay or course credit.

The summer positions are minimally 20 hrs per week for all of Summer 1 and 2 (late June to mid September).  Interns can take up to 2 weeks of unpaid vacation during that period, plus whatever is accrued via the paid position.  Positions may start as early as the week after finals and continue to the start of the fall quarter, but 20 hrs/week during Summer 1 and 2 is the minimum requirement.

Interns will be paid as "Student Assistants" and can find information about that title and pay here.

Our goal is to extend the internship into the academic year and therefore we are not able to consider graduating seniors.

We carry out a holistic review of applications, meaning that no particular element of your application will be decisive, and the context of each element will be considered.  For example, we ask for your GPA but then also ask about if there are any circumstances that might have made maintaining a high GPA unusually difficult for you.  Please note that there are not pre-requisites for joining the group and we welcome students from all majors.

We anticipate carrying out the first round of review in mid-May, and then on a rolling basis until the positions are filled.
