Learn more about eligibility, the application process, financing resources, and life at UCLA from both program administrators and current LL.M.s.

Ayodeji Ayolola (LL.M. '24 Expected)
About Ayodeji Ayolola


Ayodeji Ayolola earned his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) at the University of Ibadan (2016) and his qualification certificate at the Nigerian Law School (2018). He is licensed as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, and has practiced in commercial litigation and dispute resolution. Prior to joining the LL.M. program at UCLA Law, he served as an adjunct professor of corporate law at the Nigerian Law School for five years. A recipient of UCLA’s limited and highly selective Health and Human Rights Fellowship full-tuition grant, Ayodeji is completing coursework to earn a dual specialization in Environmental Law and Public Interest Law and Policy. In spring 2024, he will complete a judicial externship in the chambers of Associate Justice Martin J. Jenkins of the Supreme Court of California. Following graduation from the LL.M. program in May 2024, he plans to return to teaching and will also practice corporate law and commercial litigation.


Zenobia van Heerden (LL.M. '24 Expected)
About Zenobia van Heerden


Zenobia van Heerden earned her LL.B. cum laude from University of the Western Cape in 2022. As an LL.M. at UCLA Law, she's pursuing dual specializations in Public Interest Law and Policy and Law and Sexuality. She also serves as LL.M. representative for the UCLA Law Student Bar Association. Zenobia recently co-authored two papers - both of which have been accepted for publication - that consider transgender persons and international child abduction in South Africa from a human rights perspective. Her most recent academic work focuses on South Africa’s laws on surrogacy and LGBTQ+ family rights within the United States and South Africa. Her interest areas include human rights, gender law, public interest law, child justice, and family law.
