Those who attended Jim's previous classes will know how much fun they were. With Jim's guidance the class was able to produce pieces way beyond our initial skill sets!
Where: Hopewell Train station
When: Wednesdays in April (5th, 12th, 19th & 26th) & May (3rd, 10th, 17th & 24th). This is a commitment of 8 consecutive weeks (the hope is that participants will attend at least 6 of the classes).
Time: 2pm-3:30pm
All are invited to attend, including patrons who attended his previous Ceramics class.
Structure of the program:
3 weeks: Basic skills of ceramics. During this time, participants will be asked to consider a long-term project.
3 weeks: Development of ideas around glazing and decoration
2 weeks: Supported self-study project.
It’s anticipated that participants will produce at least one piece every two weeks. Jim will ensure there is progression of skills within those pieces.
The final piece- the supported self-study- will be decided by the patron with guidance from Jim. Jim will negotiate with participants to make sure the project is realistic.
