Interior Therapist Community (ITC) Registration
We are gathering Catholic therapists who are interested in learning more about the application of Internal Family Systems (IFS) in a Catholic context and exploring the connections of this theory to a Catholic anthropology and theology. IFS is an evidence based therapeutic approach developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz. This Community is open to therapists, counselors, and interns.

IFS has proven to be not only an effective therapeutic model but also an effective tool for self awareness and healing. By means of internal awareness, the therapist can be more present. The Catholic therapists involved in this Community have found the learning and experiential opportunities to be helpful as persons, therapists, and children of God.

The Interior Therapist Community (ITC) was established in 2020 by Dr. Peter Malinoski after being approached by Catholic therapists seeking support while using IFS. Dr. Malinoski has completed IFS Levels 1, 2, and 3 IFS training, as well as the IFIO marriage/couples therapy training.  Peter leads some of the ITC experiential groups and actively participates in the online community.

Psychologist, Dr. Peter Martin, who is also IFS trained, has been leading ITC groups since Spring 2021. Dr. Martin has a special interest in Attachment-Focused therapy and Religiously/Spiritually Integrated Treatments. Individual IFS related consultations can be arranged directly with Dr. Martin.

Jody Garneau, a Registered Clinical Counsellor in Canada, helps to administer the groups and develop the therapist community. She graduated from Divine Mercy University in 2020. Jody has completed IFS Level 1 and Stepping Stones training as well as other IFS specialized training for trauma treatment and IFIO. Marion Moreland will be co-leading a Foundations Experiential Group with Jody starting September 2022. Marion is also a graduate of Divine Mercy University and she is currently an LPC in West Virginia. Marion is a Certified Traumatologist and trainer with the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology.

COMMUNITY: Join the Interior Therapist Community! Begin by connecting with other therapists. Cost: $40/month Benefits: Interaction with a community of Catholic therapists engaging with IFS; participation in online community (on the Mighty Networks platform); access to audio recordings on the IFS teachings and further reflections connecting to Catholic applications; access to trainings and special events; small groups for interior work and triads for peer practice. Please note that a subscription to the Community is required to register for the experiential groups.

FOUNDATION EXPERIENTIAL GROUPS: Are you interested in experiencing IFS model with a trained Catholic therapist? This group will meet regularly for experiential learning. Participants will be working with some of their own parts. Participants should be committed to attend each session to help form a cohesive group. In addition to guided reading and presentations, case presentations, peer support, and Q&As are also part of the process.           FOUNDATION GROUP COST: $700 USD  Please note that courses are only open to members of the ITC.   *
Registration Fees: The Foundations GROUP is $700. Please indicate if you will be able to pay all at once or in installations. Remember that the GROUP fee is in addition to the community subscription ($40/month)
