Data Basics Spring 2024
The Data Basics workshop covers the basic techniques for research computing with the Python programming language. This workshop is oriented towards folks who have some experience with computing and programming and are motivated to expand these skills to help with their research. Data Basics is open to graduate students, postdocs, researchers, faculty, and staff from all disciplines and any skill level.

Data Basics Workshop Schedule:

Monday May 13th 
Morning (9am-Noon) - Data Centric Python with Jupyter Part 1. 
Afternoon (1pm-4pm) - Data Centric Python with Jupyter Part 2

Tuesday May 14th
Morning (9am-Noon) - Computing Environments and the Unix Shell
Afternoon (1pm-4pm)- Data Processing with Python and Pandas Part One

Wednesday May 15th 
Morning (9am-Noon) - Data Processing with Python and Pandas Part 
Afternoon  (1pm-4pm)- Data Visualization with Python

Thursday May 16th 
Morning (9am-Noon) - Relational Databases and SQL Part One
Afternoon (1pm-4pm) - Relational Databases and SQL Part Two
