Expression of interest in music tuition         2023-24      ♪

We are really looking forward to welcoming your son/daughter to The Castle School Music Dept. Please use this form if you are interested in finding out more about music tuition at Castle School. We will be in touch with you directly to explain how the fees work. Any other queries, please contact Mrs Elderton, the Head of Music using becky.elderton@cset.co.uk

COST of LESSONS

Our teachers are a mixture of 1) private tutors, 2) tutors from RedMusic (formerly Funky Punk) and also 3) The South Glos Music Hub. The cost of instrumental and singing lessons vary according to which teacher is delivering the lessons. Once we have heard from you, we will give you more information about the cost and how to go about making a booking. As an approximate guide, some of our lessons are roughly £13 for 20 minutes.

TIME of LESSONS

Normally, our lessons take place during the school day. Some slots are fixed but some students are placed on a rota and they come over to the Music Dept at their allocated time. These times take place throughout the school day including lunch times and break times. We do our best to allocate times that best suit your child.

INSTRUMENTS and storage

Ideally students need to have their own instruments that they bring into school. However, we do have a small number of older instruments students may borrow (please note these are limited and not in the best condition!) Please note that Drums, Electric Guitars and Amps do not need to be brought into school. We have a secure cupboard with a combination code. This means they can drop the instruments first thing in the morning and leave them there. We do have some instruments in school which students may wish to borrow for their lessons. This means they can leave their own instrument at home, (particularly handy if they catch the bus in the mornings!). Please do check with Mrs Elderton if this is of interest to you.

If you'd like to find out more, please fill in the sections below. There is absolutely no obligation to proceed at any time.
