Research Speed-Dating 2022

Learn how to explain your research to the public!

The UT Science Communication Interest Group, the UT Libraries, and the Graduate School present Research Speed-Dating, a professional development event that hones your ability to explain your research so that laypersons can understand it.

You’ll receive feedback from attendees outside your discipline—

  •     what they do and don’t understand

  •     their sense of why your research matters

  •     suggestions for communication and presentation style

—which you can immediately incorporate and try again. You’ll provide the same feedback for others.
