Dear Parents,
The SATs tests for Year Six children will take place during the week beginning Tuesday 9th May 2023 due to the Bank holiday for the coronation of King Charles III.
Tuesday 9th May - English: Spelling Punctuation and Grammar
Wednesday 10th May - English: Reading
Thursday 11th May - Maths Paper 1: Arithmetic & Maths Paper 2: Reasoning
Friday 12th May - Maths Paper 3: Reasoning
Every Year 6 child across the whole of England will sit these extremely important tests at the same time. It is absolutely vital, therefore, that your child is in school and on time every day of SATs Week because they will not be allowed to sit any of the tests at a later date.
To help the children to be fully prepared and settled for their tests, we are running a breakfast club each morning of SATs week from 8.15AM where toast, fruit and cereals will be available. All children in Year Six are invited to attend and there is no charge for this club.
So that we have some idea of how many children we need to cater for, please complete the form below. We would also ask you to provide your child with a bottle of water each day.
The children have worked very hard this year and should be proud of their efforts. These tests will provide them with the perfect opportunity to demonstrate the progress they have made. Thank you for your continued support.
Yours sincerely
Mr B Kennor
