Dear Colleague,

We welcome your participation to the final survey of the Global Peatlands Initiative project (GPI project). Through it, we aim to understand any changes in the institutional and knowledge needs related to peatlands during the project. In that sense, it is quite similar to the survey some of you answered before (May 2020 – March 2021), which led to the preparation of this report.

Knowing and understanding the new needs identified by you and those aspects that remain as gaps, will help us better advance with improving sustainable peatland management globally.

Para los hispanohablantes, gracias por responder la encuesta aquí: https://bit.ly/3RMi6Vp

Pour les francophones, merci de répondre à l'enquête ici: https://bit.ly/3zlZN2c

The survey results will be processed anonymously, and only project colleagues at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Greifswald Mire Centre (GMC) will have access to the data received for the purpose of contributing to the evaluation of the Global Peatlands Initiative project.

Only questions marked with an asterisk * are mandatory. If you are using a mobile/tablet device please make sure to tilt it horizontally to see the full scale of 010 on some multiple-choice questions.

Thank you in advance for your valuable contribution.

FAO, UNEP and GMC

Note: The Global Peatlands Initiative project: Assessing, Measuring and Preserving Peat Carbon (GPI project), is funded by the International Climate Initiative (IKI) led by UNEP with, as implementing partners, the FAO and GMC in Indonesia, Peru, the Republic of the Congo and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Within the four initial partner countries, the project supports a shift in management practices towards a more inclusive and sustainable approach, in order to maximize the contribution of peatlands management to efforts in addressing climate change.
