Why are we doing this?


With your help, we will create an overview map of garden ponds in Hungary, where small dots will represent the ponds on a large map. Magnification of the map will not be possible, thus keeping the locations of the garden ponds private, ensuring your  anonymity.

By filling the questionnaire, you are doing extremely important work! These types of maps play an invaluable role in understanding the density of urban pond networks, as well as being useful for general illustration and communication tasks.

The GPS coordinates will also be used to answer questions including whether  high pond-density areas host ponds with higher biodiversity? By providing the coordinates, you agree that we use the GPS coordinates of the lake in a non-individually identifiable, anonymous manner for map representations and subsequent biodiversity analyzes!

The results obtained after data collection will be returned to you if you are interested in the water quality of your pondand the organisms living in it.

If you have more than one pond, please fill in a separate questionnaire for each one!
