Event Timing: Saturday November 23: 8am-9:45am at the 2019 AAA-CASCA Meetings in Vancouver.
Thank you for your interest in participating as a mentor in this 2019 SPA/SMA event. This year's event will be a 90-minute crash course in research, publications, methods, and professionalization.
Mentors must be a current member of either the SPA or SMA and hold a professional or academic appointment relevant to the mentoring event (e.g. Professorship, Postdoctoral Researcher, Health and Social Policy Advocate etc.).
Below, please provide your contact information and select the topics on which you would be interested in providing mentoring. In October, we will confirm your participation along with the one topic you will mentor on, based on mentee interest. We will also pass along specific requests from mentees about that particular topic to help you prepare (i.e. in terms of publishing guides, mentees may specifically want help with recommending reviewers or addressing comments).
If you have any questions, feel free to email Ellen Kozelka at
