This free training aims to increase the capacity of the Criminal Justice System to effectively and empathetically respond to, investigate and prosecute sexual violence crimes committed against people with dementia and other cognitive degenerative diseases. The materials and presentations, delivered through a trauma-informed lens, will focus on improving our understanding and handling of sexual violence crimes and their impact on survivors with dementia and cognitive degenerative diseases.



Who should attend?
UPDATE: REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED except for members of law enforcement and prosecutors.



Travel Scholarships Available (to law enforcement/prosecutor staff ONLY):
Limited travel scholarships to cover mileage, per diem, and lodging are available. Priority will be given to members of law enforcement/prosecutors, and training participants from rural and frontier-based agencies. If you wish to apply for a scholarship, you must complete the scholarship portion of registration.
