14. One of the primary goals of the ACEAP program is to "get the word out" across the United States and its territories about U.S. astronomy initiatives in Chile. How would you use your experience as an ACEAP Ambassador to achieve this goal and what specific outreach activities would you engage in as part of the program? Please provide as much detail as possible, but limit your response to NO MORE than 1800 characters including spaces (Approximately 300 words). *

15. How will you ensure that your outreach activities will reach traditionally underrepresented populations?NOTE: Women/girls, persons with disabilities, and three racial/ethnic groups - blacks, Hispanics, and American Indians - are considered underrepresented in science and engineering by NSF because they constitute smaller percentages of science and engineering degree recipients and of employed scientists and engineers than they do of the population. Also, those who live in poverty are significantly disadvantaged, and may be considered underrepresented. (http://www.nsf.gov/statistics/wmpd/2013/pdf/nsf13304_digest.pdf) Please provide as much detail as possible, but limit your response to NO MORE than 1500 characters including spaces (Approximately 250 words).

19. Please note your response to this question is OPTIONAL. Responses will have absolutely no impact on selection of candidates for the ACEAP 2018 program. The reviewers will not see your response to this question.

This question is being asked in an effort to explore potential sustainability models, and/or expansion of the program.

It is estimated that the total cost of this type of an experience (including roundtrip travel from the US to Chile and all travel, lodging. meals within Chile, program support costs, etc.) is approximately $6500 per person. If you were offered this same experience would you pay $6,500 for it?
