Easter Eggstravaganza 2024 Registration
There will be fun for the whole family at the third annual Johnston Eggstravaganza from 2-4 pm on Saturday, March 23rd at St Paul Presbyterian Church, located across from the Johnston Public Safety building at 6426 Merle Hay Rd!  This event is free to the public.

Activities include:
  • pictures with REAL bunnies
  • Easter crafts
  • yummy snacks
  • games
  • 3 age-graded outdoor egg hunts
Egg Hunt 1: Grades 2nd and older
Egg Hunt 2: Ages 4 to 1st grade
Egg Hunt 3: 3 years old and under

The egg hunts will be inside our church if the weather is not good.

Bunnies will be provided by the Animal Rescue League and community volunteers.  Donations for ARL's important work are encouraged.

Please register your children for the Easter Eggs hunts and bunny pictures here. The Easter egg hunts are for children age 3 and older. Pictures with bunnies are for children of all ages.

There will be crafts!
Egg Hunts
There will be 3 egg hunts during the event. Please bring your own Easter basket and wear outside clothes. If the weather isn't cooperating, we will have the egg hunts in the church's gymnasium. Each hunt will last around 15mins. Please be ready at the start of your time.  We will announce the number of eggs each child can take home at the beginning of each hunt.   After the hunt, please return the plastic eggs to the church.
  •  Older Children's Egg Hunt (Grades 2nd grade and older): 2:30pm
  •  Middle aged Children's Egg Hunt (Ages 4--1st Grade): 3:00pm
  • Younger aged Children's Egg hunt (3 year olds and under): 3:30pm

We will have pictures available to be taken with REAL LIVE BUNNIES provided by the Animal Rescue League of Iowa and community volunteers.  They will require a brief liability release to be signed since bunnies on rare occasions can become scared and scratch.  Donations to the ARL are encouraged.  Photos will be taken by amateur photographers with a high quality digital cameras and emailed to the address you provide above.
