Apply for a Foodware Mini-Grant!
Financial support is available for eligible restaurants and other food facilities within jurisdictions that adopted the County’s Ordinance to assist with the purchase of both compliant fiber compostable and washable, durable, reusable foodware.

Mini grants up to $300 are available for food facilities that purchase compostable foodware that complies with the County’s Ordinance. Funds are limited and are distributed on a first-come-first-served basis. To ensure that funds are available for food facilities with the most need, priority will be given to San Mateo County food facility owners whose net income for the previous year did not exceed $120,000.

Additionally, mini grants up $300 are available for the purchase of reusable foodware for on-site or take-out dining. Black, indigenous, people of color (BIPOC), women, LGBTQ+, and/or employee-owned businesses may receive an additional $300 for an amount up to $600 for reusable foodware.
