A Luxembourgish team, among nine others, took up the challenge for "Luxembourg in transition", launched in 2020 by the ministry of energy and spatial planning.

The team made the assumption that technological progress alone will not suffice to bring about the necessary ecological transition. It committed itself to exploring the prospects of a more structural transformation of our society into an age of post-growth.

In January 2021 the team submitted its report for the first phase, with a main focus on the metrics for a decarbonised and resilient future.

During this conference the authors will present the results of their work and explore eight prospects for Luxembourg 2050.
