We grow only open-pollinated varieties using organic practices. Valuing the relationality and care for the soil that comes with using our hands and simple tools, we seek to minimize mechanization.
Our shares run from June to September. On average, large shares feed four, small shares feed two. Depending on your vegetable needs, some may still supplement from grocery store produce while others might find they have lots to preserve for the winter. Generally shares start small in the spring and grow to become quite bountiful through the season. But don't worry, we're in touch each week with information about your share and unique ideas and recipes to make use of it all. NOTICE:
There will be a few changes to our CSA structure this year. The main change is that fall pickups will likely change from being smaller weekly pickups to larger monthly pickups with an emphasis on fall crops that will keep in your pantry. Only the distribution of your share will change; the value of your shares will not be effected by this change. This change is being made to make the livelihood of your farmers more sustainable.

Large Share ($850)
This is our full-share of vegetables. We expect that it will feed about four people, but it really depends on how many vegetables you eat! This share will include a bit more variety than our small share, and will get a taste of all of the varieties of vegetables that we grow!
Small Share ($500)
This is our smaller share of vegetables. We expect that it will feed about two people. This share includes a bit less variety than our larger share. All of the standard vegetables will be included, and some of the more unique ones, too!
Harvest Bounty Box ($60)
This will be given out mid-September (exact date TBD) and will include a bunch of (most likely): extra squash, root vegetables and greens. Before offering this option of a bounty box, each of our shares included a LARGE volume of produce in the fall, which some people have found really exciting, and some people have found really overwhelming. This makes it a separate option so as not to overwhelm those who don't want all those veggies in the fall. We offer a limited amount of bounty boxes, so sign up soon!
Bulk Canning Vegetables
We would like to offer the option of additional bulk produce for those who are interested in canning or preserving. Please indicate below if you are interested in ordering paste tomatoes and/or beets. When these crops are ready, we will contact you first. Be aware: the amounts of harvest varies year to year, so, although we will try our best, we cannot guarantee the sale of these crops. For this reason, payment will be made upon pickup of produce. Unfortunately, we will not be offering pickling cucumbers this year.
Our first pick-up generally falls mid to end of June, but we will be in contact via email regarding the specific date. Shares are picked up once a week (see the note above for exceptions) this year. This season we are only offering pick up on Tuesdays at The CMU Farm from 4-6 pm.

You may pay for your share in 2 installments. The first 50% of the total amount is due once you receive your invoice and this first payment will secure your share. The other 50% is due by June 1st. We will send you an invoice within one week of receiving your sign-up submission, at which point payments can be made by e-transfer or cheque. We prefer payment to be made by e-transfer, but if you need to pay by cheque, please make cheques payable to The Metanoia Farmers Worker Co-op Ltd. and mail to:
