Time: 1-3pm EST

Location: Online and in person (for some courses)

Who is this course for: BIPOC folks 18+, with priority given to survivors of interpersonal trauma who are Etobicoke Residents.

Instructor: Jungle Flower (she/her)

Jungle Flower (she/her) is a Tkaronto based poet, speaker, trauma-informed writing guide and sound
guide.

After escaping a psychologically abusive relationship, she founded Reclaim Your Voice
(www.reclaimyourvoice.org) in 2012, a BIPOC survivor-led organization that creates safe spaces where
people who have experienced abuse and sexual violence can share their stories.

Stepping away from her 20-year career as a photographer in the entertainment industry, Jungle Flower
found healing through her work in the survivor community, pushing her way through stage fright to
share her story and raise awareness. Today she works with schools and organizations across the
country, hosting survivor-centred workshops and sharing her message of healing through storytelling,
spoken word poetry and imagery that inspires audiences to boldly reclaim their own voices.

Class Description:

The Write Your Self course is for anyone looking to begin a writing practice or enhance their current
one. All skill levels are welcome. The purpose of this course is to gently help you create a sustainable
foundation for writing and to begin excavating your stories. You will be provided with tools to help you
explore what you want to write about, your writing topics, and your writing routines, both during and in
